Cozumel is an Island region in the Caribbean Sea, just off Yucatan Peninsula’s eastern coast, Mexico. Cozumel is located conveniently opposite Playa del Carmen, in proximity to the famous Yucatan Channel, and is separated from the mainland by the Cozumel Channel. Cozumel has grown to become a popular tourist destination regardless of its moderately small size.
