Vienna, one of the nine States of Austria, is currently Austria’s capital city as well as its largest city. A political, cultural, and economic center of Austria, Vienna is located to the East of Austria, close to the Czech Republic, Hungarian, and Slovakian borders, on the Danube River.
Vienna is famous for being the home to famous artists and intellectuals like Sigmund Freud, Mozart, and Beethoven. It is also the reason it is considered the City of Music, owing to the music legendries who arose from there.
Vienna has dozens of attraction spots including the various imperial palaces like that of Schonbrunn, the original summer residence of the Habsburgs.
More works of art are made available at the Museum Quartier District, where both historical and modern works of various artists like Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, and other renowned people are displayed. Another historical spot in Vienna is the Ring Road within the Innere Stadt District, where the eighteenth-century Burgtheatre, public buildings, and even government buildings are features in fascinating exhibitions. At the famous Burgtheatre, dozens and dozens of the Vienna State Opera productions are held every year when Vienna hosts the annual Vienna Opera Ball, which attracts people from across the world for its glory. The yearly Opera Ball is one of Vienna's points of pride.
The iconic Hofburg Imperial Palace features high-end and classy houses and is home to stunning displays of the famous Lipizzaner Stallions of the Spanish Riding School. One other attractive spot is the Saint Stephens Cathedral, a Gothic structure that was made complete in a colorfully tilled roof, which can be viewed panoramically from the high up viewpoint on the Wiener Riesenrad Ferris wheel on the glorious Prater Park.
