Mussoorie is a beautiful hill station that serves as the municipality board in the District of Dehradun, in the state of Uttarakhand in
India. Its proximity to the capital city of its state as well as to the capital city of the country has made it a famous spot for many activities. Mussoorie has a beautiful location up a higher elevation than its surrounding regions and is crowned by the presence of the Doon Valley to its south, the famous Shiwalik Ranges, and the Himalayas to its northeast.
Mussoorie is home to a popular local shrub called Mansoor. Its central tourist attraction spot is the Mall, a vast area that runs from the famous Picture Palace in the east to the iconic Public Library in the west. The Mall is home to the Savoy, an ancient luxurious hotel setting that has been known to host the members of the ruling class since time immemorial.
To date, Mussoorie has grown to be an essential tourist destination in the region, and a firm economic and commercial hub as well. Much of this growth is attributed to its proximity to the capital city of India, Delhi.
Mussoorie experiences a subtropical highland climate which is Köppen classified as Cwb. This climate is due to its location in the 4,270 feet above sea level elevation point and is primarily influenced by the monsoons. The weather is characterized mainly of warm and rainy summers and winters that range from mildly cool to cold and moderately dry.
