New York City, the most populated city in the United States, has a humid subtropical climate classified as Cfa in the Köppen climatic classification. Characterized by cold winters and hot summers, New York experiences stable and evenly distributed rainfall throughout the year. NYC also experiences four distinct seasons and remains a vibrant tourist destination throughout the year.

Spring is a lovely time in New York with temperatures warming up from the winter cold. Flowering trees make a great sight both at night and during the day.

During the fall, the weather is warm and friendly, and the environment in New York has a golden glow owing it to the trees dropping their leaves. The air is crisp and fresh, and the humidity is tolerable. The fall attracts more tourists especially the non-lovers of freezing and scorching temperatures.

It is impossible to declare a bad time to visit New York City, but perhaps the icy weather in winter makes it the unfavorable time to visit. The temperatures remain extremely low, and at night they get even lower. The chilly winds experienced in winter bring about cold air that may not be adequate to most people. Rainfall experienced in winter may be minimal, but it makes the weather worse. Icy, rainy, and windy days make it hard to experience the brighter side of New York as it limits most activities to indoors. Walking in the parks gets tricky with the snow as does ocean activities due to the cold ocean temperatures. Skating and indoors celebrations remain in place, however warm dressing still allow for outdoor activities.
