Kuala Lumpur is the National Capital City as well as the largest city in Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is one of the fastest growing cities in its region and is the ultimate cultural, economic, and financial center in Malaysia. The city is home to the modern Petronas Twin Towers, a skyscraper that stands about four hundred and fifty-one meters tall. The contemporary skyscraper is made of identical towers made from pure steel and glass complete with Islamic motifs. A sky bridge connecting the two towers offers a chance to see the entire city for the public.
Kuala Lumpur boasts of hosting the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station and the outstanding Sultan Abdul Samad Building, both which were famous landmarks during the British colonial era.
From local dishes to international cuisines, Kuala Lumpur features fine dining in food stores, kiosks and the ultimate high-end large restaurants as well as entertainment spots. For shopping, Kuala Lumpur provides designer boutiques and the colorful luxury cloth stores, as well as several retail and wholesale shops in the Golden Triangle at the District of Bintang.
For art galleries and exhibitions depicting the history and cultural development of Kuala Lumpur, visit the Brickfields, also known as Little India, and Chinatown, where sellers of arts and crafts in the Central Market Houses have mastered the art. In the Kuala Lumpur National Museum and the Islamic Arts Museums, the history of Kuala Lumpur is featured in the exhibitions. There is another spot in Batu Caves to the north of Kuala Lumpur, which features the iconic Hindu temples.
