Kuala Lumpur can be visited at any time during the year because the weather is hot and humid throughout the year. During the celebrations of the Chinese New Year on varying dates in January and February, Kuala Lumpur is busy and receives more tourists for the festivities. The same applies to Ramadhan celebrations. From April to May and October to November, the monsoons set in, and Kuala Lumpur becomes rainy, although the rain falls any time of the year. The Hindu Festival of Thaipusam is another celebration that locals and visitors like to partake of, happening on varying dates in January and February.
