January presents one of the most favourable weather conditions for visiting Cameroon, falling within the dry season across the country. The southern regions, including notable cities like Yaoundé and Douala, experience relatively cool conditions with temperatures fluctuating between 22 to 31°C (87.8°F). Up north, the landscape is dominated by the Sudano-Sahelian zone. Here, the city of Maroua and surrounding areas experience a distinctly arid January.
